PAAC (Pastoral Associates of the Archdiocese of Chicago) is an organization, founded in 1983, of local Pastoral Associates and affiliates, which serves God's people and the Archdiocese of Chicago, provides a bridge between institution and community, supports, encourages, and collaborates with one another and with the clergy.
The early history and growth of PAAC can be attributed to pastoral associates who generously gave their time and shared their talents to form what was first called The Association of Pastoral Associates of the Archdiocese of Chicago.
From its beginning, PAAC has been governed by a Covenant, which was replaced by unanimous vote of the membership on September 28, 2005, by a governing set of By-Laws.
